Recently the new and improved Studio 4 along with Brian Hardgrove, Sennheiser and Cake Walk, hosted a press event to showcase their new collaboration and talk about the exciting projects and events scheduled to happen in the very near future.
Also there was the band Comic Book Heroes, who have been working in Studio 4 on their new soon to be released album. Comic Book Heroes have been getting a lot of press themselves recently. This rock and roll band are currently in talks with NASCAR and ESPN for a couple of their new songs.

Soundtrack for 'The Tempest' |

End of February, Elliot Goldenthal ‘s soundtrack for The Tempest was mixed in Studio 4. ATC’s were used for the surround mix. Joel Iwataki was mixing engineer, assisted by Halsey Quemere. Directed by Julie Taymor, her film version switches the main character Prospero, (a male) to Prospera, (a female). Prospera is played by Helen Mirren. Other stars include Alfred Molina and Chris Cooper.

Composer Marcelo Zarvos recorded a 60 piece orchestra for an upcoming HBO film “You Don’t Know Jack”, directed by Barry Levinson. Besides using the Grand Ballroom and Studio 7 for their orchestral recording, they also utilized Studio 4 for overdubs. You can read more about Mr. Zarvos and his work at http://www.zarvos.com.

MCP’s television and recording departments shot and recorded East West Best Inc.’s “China-U.S. Hand In Hand” concert event and will be broadcast in China in the near future. There were performances by Harry Connick Jr., Wyclef Jean, Vivean Green, and Maureen O’Flynn as well as classical composer and pianist Xiangdong Kong and many other talented guests. The show was hosted by Miss America Kristen Dalton along with Ji Xiao Jun and Yue-Sai Kan |

Sennheiser, Brian Hardgroove and Manhattan Center Productions (MCP) have formed a collaboration to pursue joint marketing and promotional initiatives. Within its niche industry, Sennheiser agreed to be an exclusive sponsor of MCP’s Studio 4 contributing an array of microphones and headphones for studio sessions. For his part, Brian Hardgroove, bandleader for Public Enemy, has made Studio 4 home for his popular radio program The Fuse Box, in addition to co-producing new musical projects with MCP. |
